Hi, my name is Caolan!
I am an English teacher from Ireland, and I have been teaching English online for over 6 years. In these years I have helped hundreds of students prepare for language exams, job interviews, important business
presentations and even weddings. From all of this experience I have developed an incredibly fun and dynamic method that keeps my students engaged and active in the classroom while meeting their individual learning goals.
It gives me great pleasure to see each of my student excited to come to class and even more when they themselves reach the level of English that they once thought was impossible.
Adventure brought me here...
Surprisingly I haven’t always been an English teacher. In fact I used to be an outdoor and adventure sports instructor. For years I trained professionals in sports such as White water Kayaking, Sailing and wind surfing. I started this career as I too was a lover of extreme sports. I still spend most of my time on the mountains and sea, practicing the sports I love and perhaps some day I can tell you all amount my crazy adventures. (One time I got chased by a bear in Canada, that’s a great one.) It was my love for adventure that eventually brought me here to Spain where I studied to be an English teacher in 2019. Admittedly I had only come for 1 month of travelling … that was almost 7 years ago now!
I teach how I live...
As I said before, I love fun and adventure so I also want my English classes to be the same. Each class is packed with dynamic activities. Sometimes we will focus on grammar, sometimes the vocabulary, and there are other times where you might be roleplaying Taylor swift on her private Jet. I have built hundreds of classes which cover any topic you can think of, and that doesn’t stop me from making even more content based on what each of my students need. I strongly believe that everyone has their own way of learning and I like to adapt myself to that.
